About Us

Hello - I'm Carrie

My primary purpose is to help women break free from their limiting beliefs, addictions, and the stories that no longer serve them

I am a certified Health and Life coach through Institute for Integrative Nutrition and the Health Coach Institute. In addition, I own a private practice called Nourishing You.

I help women find freedom from food and body image struggles, break away from chronic dieting and relearn how to build trust with food and their body. I use the 10 principles of Intuitive Eating as the primary outline for our work and a Health at Every Size (HAES) anti-dieting approach.

Intuitive eating is an approach to health and food that has nothing to do with diets, meal plans, discipline, or willpower. Instead, it teaches you to get in touch with your body cues like hunger, fullness, and satisfaction while learning to trust your body around food again. HAES – it discredits the weight loss paradigm and seeks to help people treat themselves well in the body that they have right now.

I haven't always lived a healthy life. In fact, I have forced my body to endure some pretty harsh abuse. I lost the fight against addictions for many years, and I found myself living a life I didn't even recognize. My life took a turn for the worst in high school, and I fell into a downward spiral of alcohol and drug abuse. In addition, I used food to soothe my emotions and feelings of discomfort. At one point, I weighed 200 pounds and then swung to the opposite end of the spectrum at 115 pounds. I know what it's like to eat your feelings and to starve them.

I offer a simple solution that works if you work it. Using a combination of concepts to rewire your brain, learn critical tools and concepts of self-love, body respect, and acceptance that focus on Intuitive eating tools and Health at Every Size. I support navigating your food triggers and learning exactly why you turn to food and put down your body.

This path requires effort and a willingness to let go and trust the process, but the results are gratifying and leave you feeling good about yourself both mentally and physically. Most importantly, you'll be free from food!

It is my honor to walk women through the same process that I used to heal my relationship with food and my body and ultimately find food and body FREEDOM! My sincerest hope is that you can NOURISH YOUR TRUEST SELF and find the same freedom from whatever is holding you back from embracing the life you deserve to live!

"Carrie has been able to help me work towards self-love, body positivity, positive food thoughts, and learning how to set healthy relationship boundaries. The biggest tangible change I have noticed since working with Carrie has been the way I think about food and my body, in addition to no longer feel guilty for eating any and all foods. Carrie is kind, enthusiastic, positive, and inspiring, and I would recommend her to anyone looking to love themselves again and heal their relationship with food and their body."  ~Kendall D.
